The legendary Senegalese singer and bandleader Youssou N’Dour delivers a larger-than-life festival experience with a massive outdoor performance at the Rio Loco festival in Toulouse. Designed as an unrelenting celebration of his greatest hits, the show moves at a swift, abandoned pace that keeps the massive crowd completely immersed. N’Dour exudes a youthful, electric energy as he paces and dances across the stage, his famous voice soaring effortlessly without the constraints of a traditional theater ceiling. Backed by his long-running large ensemble, Le Super Étoile de Dakar, the performance features twinned guitars, burning tenor saxophone, and a roaring three-piece percussion section featuring Assane Thiam on the talking drum. The set builds to a fever pitch with driving renditions of Set and Immigrés, a rare, beautiful ballad performance of Birima, and a striking duet version of 7 Seconds that showcases the incredible depth of global pop music.
