Long Ago and Only Once is a contemporary dance film about the inherent and dynamic tension of waiting. Waiting for a joke, a fact, a song, or someone’s personal story waiting to be completed.
Dancers explore disruption and closure from the audiences’ perspective looking into a community. When and how the punchline is delivered, or if at all, is the waiting game we all play.
Cocreated with the artists of Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre and Choreographer Ana Maria Lucaciu, Long Ago and Only Once was filmed by Lucaciu and T.M. Rives.
