Bilal Live at Moods

American bassist Meshell Ndegeocello has redefined her sound for thirty years. Ever since her breakthrough album Plantation Lullabies, she has crafted music that sparks connection and breaks boundaries. Her album Ventriloquism reimagines eleven classic tracks, including Prince’s moving “Sometimes it Snows in April” and George Clinton’s infectious “Atomic Dog”. Fresh off her 2023 release The Omichord Real Book, Ndegeocello brings vibrant energy to every performance. Switching between electric bass and Moog synth, Ndegeocello leads a magnetic set. She moves seamlessly from funk and synth-rock to jazz and African rhythms. The stage takes its name directly from Swahili, grounding the performance in deep cultural roots. Joined by Jebin Bruni on keys, Christopher Bruce on guitar, and Abraham Rounds on drums, Ndegeocello delivers a bold, evolving show that sets her apart.
